Welcome to my "Florida" blog

Being a third generation Florida native, I'm completely enamored with the diverse beauty of this gorgeous peninsula. For most of the year the weather is divine which makes exploring its unlimited nooks and crannies fun and easy.

Wherever I go I appreciate nature and the world around me. Come along with me as I share the places I visit and perhaps a few other amusements I find interesting along the way.

Amelia Island

Fernandina Beach is just one of the many destinations you wouldn't want to miss on Amelia Island. This month the Christmas lights are up and they are sure to draw lots of oooohhs and aaaahhhhs.

We go there as often as we can. If we get near the Northeast borders of this beautiful state we drive to the downtown area of Fernandina Beach.

The marina is breathtaking as well as peaceful and relaxing.

Sunset. A stroll around the short city blocks of downtown appointed with quaint shopping boutiques. Fabulous restaurants.

This is one of those places that continually calls to me, but I continually ignore. I need to stop ignoring it, and make it up there. Soon!

Wow beautiful photos. I've been to Fernandina Beach once, and am dying to get back soon. I went to Ft. Clinch, but missed going out on the pier. I love Florida fishing piers. But the downtown area is amazing, just like stepping back in time. Just incredible. Fantastic blog you have. All the best.

Charles,
Thank you. I have posted photos of the fort and the beach at the tip... we love everything about that whole island.
